Comments Thread For: Canelo To Return in May and Then in September

Max Kellerman said K2 & GB are currently negotiating, likely for a higher catch-weight. Canelo asked Cotto for 156lbs, Golovkin might be asking for 157lbs. In the past, Golovkin offered Gabe Rosado a catch-weight of 158lbs.
I think Oscar will want to to cash-in on a Alvarez/Margarito fight in May '16 before Golovkin. Interestingly, Tony says he wants to fight at 160lbs.

Even GGG not make the numbers, Mayweather will not go to 154 to face canelo due his age and Pacquiao is too small to go up, I think the judges could take this rivalry game PR vs Mexico into a trilogy but this wide scorecards just kill that possibility. Boxing is dead gentlements
ALL the action is at 140-154. With youngsters moving up. 160 is career suicide!!! Andy Lee??? Mario Lemuix, and 10,000 other figthers I've never heard of! GGG and that's IT!!! But dealing with his ppl is like talking to a

I personally don't want to see Golovkin/Alvarez in 2016. With Alvarez's footwork, it would be similar to Golovkin's fights with Stevens & Lemieux. I'm in the vast minority, but I'd rather have Golovkin/Lara then the winner of Quillin/Jacobs.

The other issue that so far still trying is about weight. They both agree that they do not need to go to 160 pounds, because neither one is a natural middleweight, but a pound of difference. Cotto wants 155 pounds, but Canelo prefers 156 pounds. They are in the tug of war.
