It's true, GGG-Canelo is a bigger fight. Ward just isn't a draw.

However, it's also completely irrelevant. What killed the GGG-Ward fight was by the time Ward came back the size gap had become too large.

I don't think they planned it this way. Why not? Because getting Canelo to agree to fight Golovkin will be the real fight. With Golovkin's insistence that the fight be at 160, I see Canelo happily becoming champion emeritus and moving on with his life.

Canelo will continue to fight at 155, 154 if a title opportunity opens up, and the likely next opponent is the winner of Clottey-Rosado.

You add that the Lee=Saunders winner is likely to fight either the Quillin-Jacobs winner or Eubank-O'Sullivan winner, and Golovkin is still up ****'s creek.
