I can't believe that our sport continues to let these robberies happen like if they were nothing! How are we supposed to be fans? I understand that Canelo's fans find the result favorable, but think about how you would feel if it were the other way around! Instead of turning on each other, we should unite and have this fight investigated! Today Cotto was robbed, tomorrow it could be your favorite fighter. It needs to stop. They didn't even give him a chance.

The Ricans should be happy that Cotto didn't take the knee way out

I'm far from a boxing expert, but I'm sure cotto won that fight. Canelo was just way to inactive to get a W.

Too bad Cotto couldn't do anything to Canelo because of the weight difference. Canelo won a close fight. I'd be schocked if Oscar lets him fight GGG, he has no chance vs GGG.
of course canelo will probably lose to GGG but Canelo does fight better going backwards. He was countering Cottos jab with mean right hands and uppercut all night. Canelo is a very good counter puncher who actually thinks in the ring.

But bc it's a departure from his style he wasn't economical or efficient w/ his punches. He was just surviving after the 7th. & As I say that...the 8th rd showed why they employed this strategy. I remember thinking during that rd..."he's going to stop Miguel" So it showed that he couldn't stand in front of Canelo & methodically walk toward him llike he normally does. But Miguel went too far to the other side in my opinion. Waaaay too much movement for a guy who fights w/ his strong hand fwd & historically has stamina issues. He would've been more effective to slide & move to make angles...Way too late to dance. Canelo did not even shoot his combos in normal fashion. So he might have been safer than he thought w/ less bouncing around.

Anyway...interesting fight. Still waiting for a major explosion from the stars of the sport. I'm the biggest Rigo supporter out there. But C'mon dogg....you can't be off that long w/ so much on the line & not bring the thunder. I was beyond disappointed. He has to know being booed throughout a major ppv fight when you are like the best 203 fighters in the world is not a good look. This is entertainment as well as sport...as well as business. In fact, it's the business of sports and entertainment. Shame on you Rigo for this one. Like Bruce Lee said...always demonstrate impressively. Def not the case here tonite.
Im with you on the Rigo fight. I'm a fan as well but he really blew a great opportunity for exposure by really stinking up the place. HBO already wanted nothing to do with him, now I'm sure they really put him back on the shelf.

I really had this one more even on the scorecards, as I thought Cotto won the first half of the fight, but ok the best man won I guess. The man who came to fight.

                      Canelo clearly won that fight!!
He bossed and bullied Cotto all night. ya some of the scorecards were by a wide margin, but their is no doubting Canelo clearly won, and their is no point in getting all huffy and up in arms over a round or two that would of made no difference.

People who are saying they scored this fight close, or even more amazingly saying they had Cotto winning, then you should really learn how to score a round!!

Cotto had no telling punches, no ring generalship and lacked the determination to push Canelo back and plant his feet to land hard and clean.
Cotto won 3, 4 rounds at the most, and if you had it more than that you really need to learn how to score a fight before you comment with your own ridicules scorecard.

ya the fight was closer than some of the judges had it, but it wasn't that close of a fight to matter in the first place!
