I don't know what fight many of you guys saw, but it was a clear UD for Canelo. I had it 117-111 maybe 116-112. but that's it.

when Cotto landed those fluries, many of them were blocked by canelo's gloves or his arms. Good defense. Besides Cotto didn't have enough power IMO.

Hope Canelo fights GGG next. That would be a more competitive fight for GGG.

right he truly fought one minute of every round..cotto couldnt push as much bc he was hurt himself..if he is not the bigger stronger man this fight is a close one

I had the fight 118-110 Canelo..

          Cotto Won 1,4

          Canelo 2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12

Cotto showed the superior boxing skill but he just couldn't hurt Canelo at all and Canelo came on hard after the first few rounds..

Some close rounds but at best Cotto won 4 rds

What a terrible black eye for the sport. Boxing lost a lot of fans tonight. Disgusting decision!

Not a good gameplan by team Cotto & the Wildcard Gym. Cotto hasn't moved around the ring like that since he had a hairline & a baby fro. After a while he just looked silly & out of place. He's not Manny Pacquiao. I agree w/ the strategy for 3...at absolute max 4 rounds. But bc it's a departure from his style he wasn't economical or efficient w/ his punches. He was just surviving after the 7th. & As I say that...the 8th rd showed why they employed this strategy. I remember thinking during that rd..."he's going to stop Miguel" So it showed that he couldn't stand in front of Canelo & methodically walk toward him llike he normally does. But Miguel went too far to the other side in my opinion. Waaaay too much movement for a guy who fights w/ his strong hand fwd & historically has stamina issues. He would've been more effective to slide & move to make angles...Way too late to dance. Canelo did not even shoot his combos in normal fashion. So he might have been safer than he thought w/ less bouncing around.

Anyway...interesting fight. Still waiting for a major explosion from the stars of the sport. I'm the biggest Rigo supporter out there. But C'mon dogg....you can't be off that long w/ so much on the line & not bring the thunder. I was beyond disappointed. He has to know being booed throughout a major ppv fight when you are like the best 203 fighters in the world is not a good look. This is entertainment as well as sport...as well as business. In fact, it's the business of sports and entertainment. Shame on you Rigo for this one. Like Bruce Lee said...always demonstrate impressively. Def not the case here tonite.
