I think he's too green. He may be 33-0 but he's not fought a level of opposition that will prepare him sufficiently for a boxer of the caliber of James DeGale, Arthur Abraham or Martin Murray. I think he has the potential to win a world title but if he takes the title shot next he will likely lose

I agree completelyI think he definitely needs more seasoning, especialy defensively. I think Murray is going to beat Abraham and I think Murray gives Ramirez a ton of problems. But if Abraham does win that fight, I'd probably make it. Like Grevorg, Abraham doesn't throw a lot of punches and maybe Ramirez can outhustle him, but Abraham, on the rare occasions that he does decide to actually punch, does have a very solid shot.Comment

It was straightforward but he defeated him far less emphatically than DeGale did, which was what I was looking to see if he could do.
He is definitely not ready for DeGale. He is also not ready for Murray, assuming he defeats Abraham. I believe he needs a few more fights against a better level of opposition in order to be sufficiently prepared to face boxers of the caliber of DeGale, Murray or Abraham at this point.
He can win a world title potentially, but he is too green just now, he needs to continue his development for a few more fights...Comment

I'll wait to see how Murray looks against Abraham today before I'll say he beats Rameriz, but that's where I'm leaning.
Gilberto should be fighting guys like Periban, Uzcategui, Caparello, or even Andre Ward level opponents like Murdock, Brand, and Dunn.
Arum's pumping the Golovkin talk in order to hype Rameriz up, otherwise he just doesn't believe in the kid and wants to cash him out.
“We could go right from winning the title to fighting Golovkin. Ramirez wants to fight Golovkin,” Arum said. “Maybe the middle of 2016. … I don’t think ‘Canelo’ will fight Golovkin. ‘Canelo’ has no chance at Golovkin. None. Zero. Too small. My guy’s bigger.
“So Golovkin can go up to super-middleweight to find competition.”Mexican super-middleweight Gilberto Ramirez positioned himself for a title shot and greater opportunities Friday by cruising to a unanimous decision over Gevorg Khatchikian of the Netherlands.
Speaking about TR SMW prospects - what's up with Jessie Hart? They have him fighting on 12/12, but only an 8 rounder? They need to set him up with Porky Medina, that would earn him an eliminator position for the IBF and WBA.Comment
