With Rigo's skillset, he can at least move up a weight class. You have fighters moving up 4,5,6 divisions. Floyd and Manny have been fighting all bigger fighters and, really, that's what shows your greatness and puts you in p4p status.

now i agree if he wasnt at the last class his body would allow yes he should go up, but please tell me when he rehydrated to 140 like guys at 126.

if u say ow flolyd did it...well guess wat not everyone has to be floyd when he makes 99% more money than them.

lets look at it: ggg at 30 day weight in hightest weight: 173 (nearly light hw)
rigos 30 day heightest weight: 125 (not even 126)

but ggg got the he shouldnt have to move up treatment ever after saying he can beat anyone from 154-168

rigo said "i might have to go up..." and did not say he wanted to or needs to..

      i see a difference
I don't consider GGG p4p material unless he moves up a division or two. Rigo fought a killer like Donaire at 122. I don't know what Rigo rehydrates to and, frankly, I don't care. Only smaller fighters use this bulcrap excuse. I can't wait for the heavy weights to take over again when no one complains about weight issue and use it as an excuse not to challenge themselves. If Rigo wants greatness h needs to chase it. If he just wants money then good for him, but he won't have greatness bestowed upon him by me.

I give Golovkin crap all the time for the Ward situation.

Whereas you give Golovkin crap but defend Rigo...then call other people racist!

          Very funny indeed!

I am hypocritical when it comes to GGG and rigo. The difference is rigo did fight nonito and I think loma is calling out rigo to avoid Walters, which is the fight most of us want more than rigo v loma.

That said, I definitely give GGG more flak than rigo for essentially the same thing. Rigo didn't flap his gums like GGG but that doesn't make it OK.

I know rigo can beat top flight comp. I don't know it about GGG.

Haha you sound exactly like the GGG fans who were using Kovalev as a protective shield! Walters is your "Bodyguard"!

Stop trying to speak for the majority when it's your own biased opinion. Most boxing fans would want to see both Rigo vs. Lomachenko and Lomachenko vs. Walters surely? Why is it one or the other? I wanna see Rigo vs. the winner of Frampton-Quigg too.

Bunch of bloody fangirls on here, anything to protect the interests of their favourites.

floyd and manny moved up as they grew up. rigo is 35 years old and perfect at the weight. it's not the same at all. he would be at a significant disadvantage against lomachenko

that being said, he doesn't have many options. if he can't get frampton or quigg soon then maybe he should just gamble everything against loma, because i don't see anyone else he can make his legacy and get paid against, and time is running out. at this point in his career, his physical decline will be exponential. i'd rather see him go out with a **** than just fade away

People are used to fighters draining themselves to get an advantages, so they can't quite grasp the concept of fighters who actually fight at their natural weight on an even playing field, or even 1 division above it already. There aren't many out there who start out like that, but Rigo is one of them always has been since he turned pro.

Which was probably a good move let's not forget he is 35 now, but turned pro as a 30 year old. He had no time to be doing those shenanigans anyways.

He's already fighting 1-2 weight classes above his natural weight. Watch some of his fights and see how much bigger his opposition usually is. Also there's NO need to move up weight classes, not for Rigo, GGG, Mayweather, Pacquaio or whoever. If you're healthy fighting in a weight class then stick to it. Fighting fans have been spoilt over the years by what Mayweather and Pacquaio have accomplished through the weight classes - but know that what they've done is not the norm and not what should be expected of others.

Not really. Walters v loma was the fight in play. There was never discussion about loma v rigo until
LOma called him out rather than go to 130 for Walters. Calling out a smaller man instead of fighting as the smaller man is not something you get credit for.

Walters missing weight shouldn't have made the fight not doable.

As for loma calling out rigo, yes its a good fight. But let's not act like it was anything other than aa defeletive maneuver to try and save face from loma not wanting to fight Walters at 130.

                      In a perfect world, Walters/loma and rigo/lsc.
