The great ones never knew when to walk away from the sport/game they love. I can see Floyd coming back, no doubt. He's in phenomenal shape and his last two fights proved to be too easy for him. That itch will come back.

Imagine if Floyd came out of retirement to fight Golovkin lol I know that sounds crazy but I bet you that fight would sell 2 million ppv tickets minumum, guaranteed.

An old mayweather out of retirement vs The monster Golovkin? It would sell like a rocky movie.
Yep, and it would end like Apollo Creed vs Drago! I think Mayweather retired at the right time, hope he sticks to promoting.

Well, almost every fighter who retires comes back, and in fact, Floyd retired and came back.

I'd rather he stayed retired, but he's going to come back.

It could even be Pacquiao if enough people show enough interest for a rematch. Everyone could use an extra 50 million dollars, in floyd's case he might make closer to 80.
My guess is absolutely he will come out of retirement and fight again. But my hope is that he stays retired and never fights again.

To beat Floyd, you're gonna need to not be afraid to get hit like Maidana-Floyd 1. Many believe Floyd lost that, here's the difference... Golovkin is much more accurate and heavier fisted than Maidana. He cuts the ring beautifully, which might be an issue AND he's not afraid to get hit. I very much doubt Floyd has the power to hurt GGG. Let's not forget GGG is able to adapt, the way he picked Lemiuex apart was professional.
I agree with all that, apart from the part about Floyd losing to Maidana. Only Floyd haters say that, but Maidana gets a lot of credit, he did better than anyone could imagine but Floyd won that.

Anyway that's not the point soo...i agree with you on all the points you're making.

People are underrating Golovkin. Mayweather is/was incredible, a real ATG but going up against such a strong and much bigger guy with those skills isn't even that realistic. Don't forget where Floyd started his career, and Golokin is a career middleweight. Nobody would expect any other guy Floyd's size to fight GGG because it's not a fair fight and Floyd should be counted in that. Floyd has no business anywhere near 160.

Pacquiao on the other hand is fairly comfortable fight for Floyd every day of the week. If you've shown you struggle with smart fighters with good counterpunching in the past, then you're not beating Mayweather.

Yes I think he will, to much money to be made, judging by his lifestyle he will need to fight again soon.

I don't think so. I did heavily lean towards him coming back in Sept. of next year, but when I hear him speak now he seems like a different mfer. I think thats the reality that in the ring combat is over for him. And I legit think he's had & has even more lately concerns with the damage boxers take in the ring & I don't think he wants to be one of those guys or be worried about being 50ish & moving around like your 70.

Idk if I'm right about all that, but I definitely don't feel Floyd would be one of those 40 year old boxers like so many others o these days so Sept. 2016 is probably just about the cutoff on him making a comeback decision. I believe if we get past that date without a fight a Floyd fight ain't happening.
