and thats why they havent put themselves ahead of those guys. i like golovkin as a fighter but his team puts him in negative light and ppl have the nerve to compare him with hagler, at GGG age right now hagler defended all belts undisputed 12 times and beat HOFs and retired. golovkin is still searching for a defining win in a weak division.

and as far as this list, i can say kovalev ward and froch all fought top level competition when the odds were against them. hell even stevenson did, fighting someone youre a massive favorite against doesnt hold weight to overcoming the odds, thats what ppl reflect on when it comes to making the case for fighters and the legacy conversation.

Fair enough, but apply the same high standards to all.

Eg, don't criticise Golovkin for thinking about taking on a top contender at 168, but give Ward a pass for fighting blown-up SMW journeymen at 175, instead of going straight in with Kovalev.

Stevenson started at SMW and moved up so yes he did.

And for resume talk out of Froch, Ward, Kov, and GGG one doesnt belong in the conversation. Can you guess which one

Man, this coward. There's a reason why every knowledgeable boxing fan has crucified this guy for months now. He's afraid of the best. He ducks and dodges every legitimate challenge and trumpets himself as the best in the sport. He is a coward hunting paydays. **** that fraud!

they do, and i criticized ward for the way hes gone about his tendor at 175, he didnt need to fight smith and he damn sure didnt need brand or murdock, any top 15 LHW would have been fine for me, who he fights next is whom im looking towards and if its someone not remote on his level, ill still criticize him. but as far as this topic, golovkin said hed only do a ppv fight at 168, and when ward offered a fight to be made later in time, they declined and ppl **** on that offer, this is the same thing arum is discussing here and ppl are mum on it, ramirez isnt a ppv fight, and this isnt a big fight, if they fight in 2016 w/o golovkin doing what he said hed do when ward offered to fight (clean out 160 with all belts and lineage) i expect him to be criticized to the fullest and no passes given, like you said, same standard to all.
