and no, I dont know "when" the payment would have been made. My guess is after the fight when Cotto has $20 mil or more liquid
So stop speculating then. Assuming too much isn't a good thing. Let the things happen instead of having wishful thinking.

GGG is all about getting paid, and that's all there is to it. Nothing wrong with that. Just don't try to sell us him being after anything else..

All I know is if there was a signed agreement with an NDA, someone will be coughing up moolo to GGG.

I see some in here are blaming GGG for this, but he made agreements and followed them, others have not. It is that simple.

what does "when" the payment would be made have to do with anything?? Cotto said plain as day he wants to keep the $1.1 million in his pocket. ($800k GGG, $300k WBC)

          Stop reaching bro.......

Just shows you what a "man" Cotto really is.

There is more pussay in Cotto than cojones.

            A liar, a diva, a pretender, a disgrace, a greedy snake.

aint no one reaching. The 800k was for the fight to be sanctioned as a WBC title fight, by having GGG step aside as the mandatory challenger, which he shouldnt even have won the interim title in the 1st place. With Cotto being stripped of the title due to differences between WBC/Cotto & sanctioning fees, he's not fighting for the title no more, why should he still pay the 800k???

I don't see how accepting a step aside agreement of 800k (knowing you have a shot at the belt afterwards) is not compatibile with wanting the belts? Especially as Canelo has a good chance of winning it...
What if Cotto wins? You are burning a bridge. You will have a belt, $800K and no top opponents at 154, 160 or 168 for the rest of your career. If Cotto wins, GGG is the next biggest money fight out there for him.

Because the fans of GGG feel hurt.

and according to WBC's own words.....

if the title becomes vacant they are supposed to upgrade GGG to full champion.

                      What happened with that???
