GGG is 34 and hasn't beaten an elite opponent yet. Clearly, casual fans aren't buying the bull****. Actually neither are hardcore fans. Just this little group that believes they can talk their way into making him a HOF'er.
but..... but..... but..... marvin hagler doe!

then they remember there wasn't an actually, legit, super middleweight division until AFTER he retired

That's some slimy shit from Cotto. He's screwed the WBC far worse than he's screwed Canelo and Golovkin though. And Canelo's got it worse than Golovkin too. He's given up a very big piece of the pie because Cotto had that belt.

Yes very, I notice its the same crowd of pathetic trolls on here who post the same old crap.
Most of the real Cotto fans aren't that active on the thread likely because a lot of the crap Cotto has done is very hard to defend but ofcourse you have the set of Floyd Mayweather fan girls who aren't real boxing fans just spouting their same old stuff from years ago that they likely have saved on their notepad.

Oh please. Cotto had that leverage with or without the belt. Stop acting like you can quantify or qualify that. If Cotto had dropped the belt two days after he TKO'd Martinez, he'd still be the lineal champ and he'd still have the power at the negotiating table.

But I guess its all 'speculation & opinions' to suggest Hagler would actually fight in a super middleweight division had one existed, right?

It's irrelevant, that's the point. Which means, back to today and GGG's barren resume.

there's no speculations or opinions on haglers toughness and willingness to fight anyone. So no.

Loooooool. Shaken to his core? Cotto has been in with the best his era has to offer. The way I remember it, GGG is the one who appears terrified of a challenge. He'd rather go after smaller fighters.
