I think there is some truth to this. I think he also understands who he is & that he gots eyes on him & the things he says so he says more **** to increase the eyes on him & his fighter. He usually deals with less talky cats & more humble, laid back cats so him doing the **** talking also lets his fighters keep their "good guy" angle (like Angel Garcia for Danny) or just their likely desire to not get all involved in some **** they see as silly.
I don't think he understands his lines are old is the thing too. He continual predicts KO's by his guys & often comically low round KO predictions vs the general consensus. I think he's used the "betting my house(s)" line for his last 2 or 3 fights now. Ironically Freddie Roach is the Floyd Mayweather of trainers.
