Comments Thread For: Freddie Roach Expands On Guarantee of Cotto KO Win

If there’s a major fight involving a boxer who has Freddie Roach in his corner, you can safely bet that at same point the Hall of Fame trainer will pick his charge to win by knockout.

Naturally, that is what he believes – and continues to insist – will take place this weekend when Miguel Cotto defends his World middleweight championship versus Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. The HBO Pay-Per-View headliner takes place this Saturday at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Didn't he make the same guarantee about a fight that happened in May?

          Pressure

Freddie Roach talking mad S__T about Canelo.

Did the same thing to Money May.

Hopefully Cotto does better than Pac because if Canelo runs though Cotto there better not be no talk of a injury during the fight and making excuses if Cotto gets smashed.

Cotto throws the left hook a lot and his right hand is always tucked by his cheek and he has short arms. What does this mean? It means that Cotto's elbow won't be low enough to adequately protect his ribs, liver or kidney and his feet will be planted so he can't avoid the punch.

Canelo is going to crack Cotto's ribs or down him with a liver shot at some point during an exchange. There is nothing Cotto can do either, that left hook IS his style and it will be his downfall.

Interesting point of view, my money is on Canelo but i'm hoping he worked on taking away that left hook.
