I honestly didn't think about that, HBO have the 10 best P4P fighters apart from Rigo and Rigo is fighting on the Cotto-Canelo undercard.

That is mad, I think Haymon is doing interesting things but odd how he hasn't managed to (since Floyd retired) nick one of those fighters.

Kind of boggles my mind lol. How does Haymon have 200 some off fighters....but none of the 10 best?

Ken Hershman did step down as boss of HBO boxing. Maybe that's where Schaefer is headed?

Another angle for why I can never see HBO hiring Schaefer is who is right now the biggest cash cow for HBO? Canelo. You could argue Pacman but he's got only 1 more fight left. Canelo is signed to Oscar and Golden Boy. HBO has a great relationship with Golden Boy right now. Why would you screw all that up and hire the man who Oscar forced out and sued and hates like poison? Second biggest enemy for Schaefer is probably Bob Arum who HBO works closely with. HBO banned Haymon AND Golden Boy when it was run by Schaefer for a reason. Once Oscar pushed Schaefer out and regained control of his company HBO welcomed Golden Boy back with open arms. No chance HBO hires Schaefer.

Mmm really interesting. I wasn't expecting all the praise for HBO from Richard. He basically said that 2015 has belonged to them and that they have the best P4P fighters on their channel. He did mention PBC but he was just being politically correct saying that it's still on it's early stages.

Haymon is a business man why does he need another business man like Schaefer at this point? He needed him when Schaefer had the talent from Golden Boy's roster. But without that Schaefer needs Haymon not the other way around. And unless Schaefer creates his own Promotional Company and Haymon uses them instead of Lou Dibella, Warriors ect I don't see how he can be the face of these events. That's a promoters job and Haymon and PBC are NOT promoters. If Haymon creates his own boxing league and own belts then maybe. But right now he has to use outside promoters to get around the Ali Act and even still he's in court now fighting charges that he is acting as a promoter. Last thing you want to do is hire a promoter and have him be the front man for your PBC events instead of the actual promoters of the events.

You have absolutely no idea what ideas/plans Haymon has in the pipeline looking forward, if you think that PBC is it, you are fkn dreaming..... I can see them branching out into all sorts of thing's including other aspects of the entertainment industry.

If you guys don't think that a smart capable guy like Schaeffer would be a huge asset to ANYONE, then I don't know to say.
