Byrd would make an excellent trainer, it is written all over his style as a person and his skills. He could do great.

Hiring the Vitali-cutioner as a trainer? Interesting move.

Byrd obviously had skills as he managed to have a pretty good career at heavyweight despite being a light hitting, blown up 175 pounder. Very slick defensively with fast combinations on offense.

As great as African-American and Mexican boxers have been, though, their styles don't seem to mix well together for some reason. You rarely see a top Mexican fighter with a black trainer and vice versa.

Jessie Vargas trained out of the Mayweather gym. Also worked with Roy Jones.

Alfredo Angulo was pretty bad when he was with Virgil Hunter.
