Can't blame Cotto one bit. These are the type of behind the scene deals that Tyson used to refer to when when discussing how corrupt boxing Is. The different organizations and promoters are bigger crooks then the street crooks of Brooklyn. I think he was spot on.
This Is boxing, always has been and always will be.Comment

he's not really a MW...that's why I wanted him to vacate after he won it...I knew he would he get bashed if he made title defenses...he's too small for the weight so I could see CW fights on the horizon a minute after he won the title...literallyComment

this will be the one time i side with the WBC. i understand that they're trying to gouge cotto for money, and i don't agree with that.
the ends justify the means, howver. cotto is not the middlweight champion of the world. he beat martinez' dead body, and he's holding the championship hostage.
WBC arent ripping Cotto off as far as i can see.Comment

They absolutely are not. He's scared to death of Gennady and he's dropped the belt like a little snide. Disgraceful!Comment

he's probbly got a garantee and a chunk of the ppv revenue.
a 1.1 million sanctioning fee is absolutely nuts, even for a ppv fight.
this is the WBC's way of saying, "we can't sustain your MW run any longer. the gig is up."Comment

The WBC wanted 300k for themselves (so 3%) and 800k was the figure agreed between K2 and Roc to get GGG to step aside and allow Cotto to fight Canelo with the beltComment
