Floyd spoke on Oscar outside the ring and ignored every point Oscar made about him in the ring. This is a tactic you use when you got no defense so you attack the person personally instead of the points they made. Oscar could trash this fool with all his drama and negativity outside the ring Floyd spent time in jail not Oscar. Floyd has beaten multiple different women and has half a dozen documented accusations/arrests for domestic violence. He's a serial woman beater. Floyd was named and involved in a shooting at a family roller skating rink that he ordered. Oscar didn't bring up any of that. Instead he kept to boxing and made nothing but valid points. Points that many boxing hall of famers, fans, ect have all said. But Floyd don't want to talk about those points because he has no defense. Oscar won this battle.

I know who Genaro was and he was a good fighter Chavez Jr has only been beaten twice like Genaro does that make chavez jr an all time great? No and neither was Genaro. Making David lemieux fight GGG in his first title defense was the dumbest move a promoter could do to such a limited fighter as Lemieux, Lemieux could've defended his title once or twice in the US against some solid guys while trying to hype up a unification fight with GGG on HBO.

People didn't know who Lemiex was and the unification didn't mean much to casual fans so they didn't buy the fight, and the hardcore fans knew it was a total mismatch so they didn't buy it either, that's why it only sold 97k.

Had they first worked on introducing Lemieux to the American fanbase a couple of times first and spent more time and effort on promoting that fight with GGG, fight would've made at least 250k, so how can you claim Dela Hoya did a good job with Lemieux?

Richard Schäfer was still with Golden Boy as Canelo was coming up the ranks and he helped Canelo become what he is, the biggest fight in Canelo's career was the Mayweather fight and that's when Schäfer was taking care of business and Dela Hoya was out of the picture.

Okay your right he shouldn't have let Lemieux fight GGG right after getting the title but that would go against his the best should fight the best theory. And make him look like a hypocrite. People wanted that fight to see if someone can finally test GGG, he tried but failed horribly. It's not like there's a long list of guys wanting to fight GGG. He deserves some credit for at least stepping up to fight him.

Simple Oscar got him paid and exposure for David. You make it sound like Lemieux is a total scrub. He beats at least 5 of the Top 10 middleweight out there. He's still only 25.

Okay but Oscar has continued to get Canelo paid and he's still in great fights.

Oscar isn't going away. He and Bernard Hopkins have put on good fights this year and have matched their main attractions tough. Both deserve credit and are going to be promoter of the year.

That's most people on this forum....Genaro Hernandez is in the WBHOF and other halls of fame...I think he has been on the ballot a few times for the IBHOF


Genaro Hernandez is one of the fighers responsible to getting the 130 pound weight class credibility and lineage...he held the WBC and WBA AT 130 and


He only lost to Floyd at the weight and beat former champions Raul Perez 2x, Daniel Londas, Carlos Hernandez, Jorge Paez and hall of famer Azumah Nelson
