So now it's this little ol website that is trying to make floyd look bad? So now Oscar, all those hall of fame fighters and this website are just either jealous or racist? So it's a conspiracy against only floyd and it can't be racist because all those guys I named are black except Trinidad who has skin just as dark as mayweather. It can't be a simple as many including fans and all time great fighters just think mayweather is a boring fighter and didn't take enough risks when he fought? If you say that you must just be jealous of floyd lol
    Hagler being a fan lol

    Lennox lewis

How would you describe Mayweather’s defensive style?

“You could say it’s unusual, different and definitely in a class by itself. His style can’t be beaten right now. I don’t particularly like his style, but it works. He’s the best right now.”
'I think that Floyd has too much pizzazz, movement and quickness for him (Pacquiao).
'Floyd has an unblemished record right now and I think it is going to be hard to blemish it. He's been doing the same thing for years and it works.
'If it ain't broken then don't fix it. He's outlasted all the '96 Olympians and that is something to be proud of.

So LIKE I SAID boxing scene don't post positive videos on certain fighter. They cut out interviews and if you say one bad thing about Floyd they will put you on the front page.

Well that was the last time Wilder had any real competition. Since that fight he's getting automatic W's.

Lucas fought 2 of the Top 10 junior welterweight....so what are you talking about?? That's actually good promoting

Lemieux wasn't ready but he got exposure and it's not like he did any worse than any other fighter who has fought GGG. He's young and still marketable

In regards to Cotto vs Canelo if this fight less than a million I would be shocked.

      Postal vs Lucas
      Provo vs Lucas
      N'Dam vs Lemieux
      GGG vs Lemieux
      Cotto vs Canelo
      Jennings vs Ortiz

      All are horrible fights right????
Lol Damn you Oscar Damn you

Get out here he's putting on fights fans want to see
No son. Thats good matchmaking something Oscar doesnt do in his company. Other than Ruslan/lucas no one watched the others cause promotion, the thing Oscar does do, ******

      • If I'm not mistaken, Muhammad Ali threw his gold medal in the river. My point is, to some, an Olympic medal means nothing. Floyd didn't care about the bronze medal. He knew bigger things were ahead and he was correct.

Floyd also took on the best challengers out there. I remember when everyone said Diego Corrales was the man at 130, that he would destroy Floyd. Didn't happen, Floyd dominated him over the course of 10 rounds before stopping him. Knocking him down numerous times along the way.

Floyd also beat Oscar 2 weight classes above what Floyd normally fought at.Oscar looked amateurish against Floyd. How can you anti-Floyd fans say he never accepted a challenge. Or want him to continually move up in weight? He's been there and done that already.
As a fan of any celebrity (actor, musician, athlete, president,) I really don't care what they do in THEIR PERSONAL LIFES, as long as they perform at their best when I pay my money to see them perform. A lot of you are like gossipy old ladies.

        • This is a no-win situation for Oscar. Oscar's company did major business with Haymon, and now he's suing Haymon. Where would GBP be without Mayweather and Haymon? Canelo was too young? Who put Canelo in there with Floyd? Floyd took no risks? Who fought Floyd at 154? We don't have to take Floyd's words for Oscar's job performance as a promoter, B-Hop says it all:

          June 3, 2014:

“It’s got to be run by somebody,” Hopkins said of Golden Boy Promotions’ now murky future. “But it’s going to be very, very difficult for Golden Boy to keep the credibility of the brand without Richard Schaefer.

“A guy like Richard – and let me say that we don’t always agree on everything – really can’t be replaced. I’ll reiterate: Richard Schaefer cannot be replaced. Things will continue to be run (at GBP), but they won’t – can’t – be the same. Richard is a man who is stern when he needs to be stern, and fair when he needs to be fair. It’s hard to find people like that in boxing. He’s one of the biggest and most respected players there is. Even the people who don’t care for him too much on a personal level have got to respect him when it comes to the way he does his job.

“Think about it. Who really ran Golden Boy? I’m not talking about popping up in the office once or twice a year. Who was there, doing the deals, on a day-to-day basis?”

If that sounds like a veiled shot at De La Hoya, the occasional visitor to his own company whose relationship with his onetime close friend Schaefer has grown increasingly chilly, draw your own conclusions. “Oscar’s been talking to certain people,” Hopkins said, a pointed reference to the olive branch extended by De La Hoya to his former promoter and more recent adversary, Top Rank founder Bob Arum, with whom Schaefer has adamantly refused to do business. “He’s been tweeting. He showed up at Canelo’s (Alvarez) camp. OK, he’s rededicated, he’s gotten himself together, he’s burying the hatchet (with Arum). Great. But with him doing all that, is anybody really surprised that this thing with Richard happened? The only thing that’s a shock is that it took this long to go down..."

There was one more potential surprise offered by Hopkins, who professed admiration for Haymon, who could become part of whatever remains of his twilight as an active fighter. That statement further suggests that boxing’s ageless wonder could soon be parting ways with Golden Boy.

“I have great respect for him, and he has great respect for me, going back to the day when he came into boxing with one fighter, my friend, Vernon Forrest, `The Viper,’” Hopkins said of Haymon, the Boxing Writers Association of America’s 2013 Manager of the Year. “I was on the other side from him when Al was representing Jermain Taylor.

“I don’t have a contract with Al Haymon, but I wouldn’t mind having one because he knows the business and he knows how to make the moves to get you where you need to be.”

"From what I hear, he said Canelo was too young," Mayweather said. "Well, that shows you how he does bad business by putting a kid that's too young in there. Genaro, may he rest in peace, Genaro Hernandez (Mayweather's first championship opponent in 1998) wasn't too old for me (Mayweather was 21, Hernandez 32). You want the big reward, you've got to take risk. That's what we do
                  ."

Dude, just read the article next time.

Wow his own partner telling it like it is. It sounds like same thing Arum was saying
They’ve got no background in boxing,” Arum, actually 79, said Tuesday of the HBO matchmakers Golden Boy Promotions advises. “They rely on Oscar, who’s a dummy. Oscar is one of the ******est guys I’ve ever met. I’m just saying what it is. The guy is really not smart. Forget just ‘not smart.’ He’s not just even average.

“I remember when we were bringing him up, we’d have to write the whole script for him. Then you give him the script and he’s great, as long as you keep him on the script. To have an original thought in his head …”
