    Smells of corruption
The WBC previously stated that the winner of this fight must face gg next.
Canelo & Oscar have stated in the past 2 weeks that they will only fight at a catchweights & won't take the fight for 18 mths
As for WBC being a non profit organisation, where do the funds come from when they issue diamond belts? If every title fight costs the same sanction fee then they must be making a profit or loss to issue expensive belts

Like father like son, corrupt to the core

well no **** cotto been saying for a year that he dont consider himself a middleweight and even admitted that he didnt consider himself a middleweight. Im not surprised by this at all. lets see what ggg fans say now tho cause they kept saying if cotto didnt have the belt it would be different but my guess is they will change their tune. it really doesnt matter tho as long as canelo wins. I do think cotto is going to win 8 rounds or so tho

Well since Canelo did agree to wbc terms and Cotto did not, it makes sense that Cotto is now an ex-champ.

Now we await for team cotto to explain what terms they did not like. It could be sanctioning fees or ped-testing. Its likely not ggg as both Canelo has said he wasnt ready either to leave their 155 lb divsion.

Yes in the Mosley fight, you want to make excuses up without any solid evidence in the Cotto fight?

wbc got played tbh. cotto got everything he wanted from the belt then ditched them before the big pay-off. they should have stripped him rather than sanction his voluntary defence against geale

Canelo didn't punk Cotto. Cotto showed him who's boss at the table. It took a while to sink in for Nelo. Lol they agreed to fight and are now aren't they?? Gi Gi though go punked by Ward. "Little G"

Good for Cotto tbh. Now he can play his best hand post fight whatever happens & he gots an extra half mill or so that'll be in his bank account. Curious if the not paying the sanctioning fees is the legit reason, I always understood the sanctioning fees to be paid post fight. Maybe I'm incorrect doe.

If Cotto wins & GGG makes the most sense this gives Cotto more bargaining power now as he's not beholden to the alphabet group. Plus I'm always rooting for name brand boxers like Cotto to become anti-alphabet group as there is clearly more value in brand name boxers than these corrupt titles.

Cotto will most likely retire after GGG.

who gives a ****, golovkin can have all the belts it doesn't change the fact the biggest fight of his career is still vs cotto/canelo. maybe when canelo vacates he will agree to a catchweight and make the fight a reality. unifying a crap division with no career defining fight.. wtf kind of legacy is that. time is not on his side. cotto has been saying for years his main motivation now is big money fights, he has given boxing enough wars and faced the best. so hes entitled to feel that way.
