Don't try and outbox a boxer...

    It's really that simple.

All we have heard for months is Rousey hyping herself as some kind of highly skilled, competitive boxer. On what evidence?

    Nothing whatsoever.

That the thing with MMA, you can work on a weak element but it will never become as good as your dominant skill.

Rousey, her d1ck riding coach and even ODLH tried to create this image of RR being some kind of superwoman warrior goddess. In fact she is just a very decent judoka, a very limited boxer in a very small pool of competitive female fighters.

She looks flabby and I'd question her stamina and chin.

I don't think she was trying to outbox her. She was trying to get close to her to grab and take down. She just could not get in without paying a price for it. When she did get a hold of Holm, she found Holm had enough to get out of it.

I wouldn't say this made me feel much differently about Rousey, before the Correia fight most people didn't give Rousey's stand up game much credit and even afterwards they still weren't really singing praises for her in that department, but it's become even clearer that she has a weakness.

I'd love to see a rematch, especially if Rousey can get a win against someone with decent boxing skills first (though admittedly the division just does not have many such fighters). Hopefully she'll approach the fight differently or otherwise show us something that would make us think she can really win.

          I take your point.

The way I see it is that RR has no shoot fighting game whatsoever AND whenever I see her training or read about her it's ALL been about how great she has become at boxing.

She took false confidence from all the boxing hype, she should have had better advice.

Holm was a very good mover, she reminded me of Lara lol.

Rousey had no clear tactic to get close, she just assumed it would be OK to bum rush like her other fights.

Problem was, every time she rushed in behind a wild punch she was made to miss and eat a more powerful and accurate counter.

And you know this how? Sounds like you're doubting him already. At least wait until that happens before saying stuff like that.

Besides, are you also saying Rousey all of a sudden, hasn't fought top level opposition? Then I guess Holm hasn't really accomplished anything, right?

So, Silva, Jones, and now Rousey. DW better hope McGregor wins.

The Rhonda vs Holly fight lasted 2 rounds. The excitement value of that fight Is greater than or equal to all of Floyd's fight in his career in just that one single fight alone lmao

Floyd can learn a thing or two from holly. That's how you bring it Floyd. that's what excitement and entertainment is all about. Lmao

lmfao, that holly chick landed more straight left hands in a single round on mma's biggest star than pacquiao on boxing's best in 12 (i know, bad comaprison, but still...)

rousey is awful, anybody who thought and still thinks that she'd beat floyd needs to have their head double checked.

now please nsb, move on. canelo - cotto is 5 days away.
                      Im gonna add some balance.....

Holm was superb, she had a great gameplan and she executed it perfectly.

Nobody else does that to Rousey, and Ronda will come back stronger.

I would much prefer to give major props to Holm than diminish Rousey.

Others will see the blueprint, but so will Rousey's people..... it is highly unlikely that there is anyone else good enough to do the same thing to Rousey other than Holm..... and I don't think she will have things her own way to the same extent she did last night.

Congratulations to Holly Holm on a superb performance.
