It sounded like the ref should have wave the fight off as soon as Holly Holm landed that kick to the head that floored Rousey. Allowing her to be punched in the head while laying on the ground and seemingly out cold was unnecessary.

That's why you have to respect a guy like Floyd even if you're not a fan, and why the likes of De La Hoya and Rousey should keep their mouths shut.

Going 19 years in a combat sport, 49 fights and never getting your lights put out by walking into a shot and maintaining complete focus at all time no matter the fame or money you possess. De La Hoya couldn't do it, Rousey showed tonight she couldn't do it. Great fighters like Pacquiao couldn't do it.

No, Holly was on her so quick. Herb was ready and as soon as it was clear that Rhonda was out, he waived it off. You have to be careful in a fight of this magnitude.
