Boxing and lateral movement are fatal in MMA because you can't cut tge octsgon off since the corners are obstuse and not right angle like in a boxing ring, so it's easy to avoid getting cornered and to move all night, very tough for other MMA fighters with no boxing background also because it's mentally draining and frustrating.

Always wondered why they don't do that more often in MMA, now a lot of fighters will try to take the boxing blueprint.
