Me too, even doe I have seen fighters move up and fight the man at an higher weight, it wouldn't necessarily work for every fighter and yes a tune or two would not kill anyone, Kovalev is the man at 175 and a live dog so yes I want to see both fighters at their best when they square off.

If ward goes on to take Kovalev on in 2016 HUGH props to him (GGG fan here) , I dont mind bum diet until then if thats how he wants to prepare for such a tough fight (i feel it will bite him in the ass , not help him) , but he better not screw the fans and his team and bail in the last second after doing his bum tour.

... Duva: "We can't stop him from getting injured or retiring. But if he (Ward) gets in the ring after June 2016, it will be against Sergey Kovalev. We would love to do the fight sooner, but Ward wants his tune-ups."

Translation: Until June 2016 Ward may fight another can and get a $2 million payday from HBO; afterwards, Ward may retire or sign with Haymon (in case Haymon is that ******).

Ìt's funny that Little G would have been a tune up for Ward.

Ward needs to stop playing catch up all the time

Oh Ward, still bitter about the MW having more fans.

Denial for what, Ward has made numerous comments as of late showing that he isn't commuted to the Kov fight.

He said the fight said it'd happen eventually.

He then complains about being forced to move up.

Now he says what's the rush.

            But we are in denial.

Don't be ******, Wards supposed email contract he wanted a tune up before he fought the MW too. Who are you Ward fans kidding.

                This is good news.

Now the ignorant fans can take Ward and HBO's word that a Kovalev fight is in the pipeline..... and now Ward gets his 2 tuneups at 175.

And Golovkin can remain un******ed at 160.

I don't see a problem here, everyone should be happy.

kovalev will get a payday against pascal in january and then defend his ibf title against barrera in summer. meanwhile ward will be doing what exactly? i'll tell you what, ward is very lucky to be getting 50% of the purse for this fight. kovalev is probably getting more in the pascal rematch than he will for the ward fight

Doesn't matter who gets what, as long as that fight happens in 2016 ending or early 2017 boxing fans should be quite happy.
