In defense of Ward, his knee may be sore enough that his training would be limited until the knee heals, and that the healing likely would take place sooner if Andre quits training for a fight and works on (whatever rehab method best suits his recovery); however, Ward's knee may not have swollen up to the point that a photograph would be of any value.
