I believe Floyd initially took AB in with the intentions of building him as boxing's next superstar. The next Floyd Mayweather. And then eventually "fall out" with him to make for a mega event. I think that's what AB's initial move to 47 was about. Paulie was a weak, safe beltholder that AB could beat, then the plan was to navigate AB through 47 till a Floyd showdown was built up. Broner just screwed up by losing. Floyd gonna just by his team, keep beef'n through the media. Maybe sacrifice a few TMT guys. Then come back for the AB grudge match. Floyd Sr said before the Berto fight Floyd wanted a few more easy fights. And AB is the easiest guy out there that Floyd can build a big event with.

I think it's staged , as in Mayweather doesn't and never really gave a f.uck about Broner it's business if Broner continued to get Ws and ride the wave then May would let him be his little bro but as soon as he got that 2nd L Broner got relegated to red headed step bro status.
