I think 1-1.2 would be huge.

The 4.5mil that May/Pac sold is not really indicative of the market imho.

Maybe it will do 1mil, really not sure. The 800k guess I saw could be close.

(sorry bout the long post) i hope this farce doesn't even do 1 million, you got a coke head hyping Canelo as if he's some sort of messiah of Mexican boxing, a guy not even respected in his own country (neither was Mayweather but Mayweather was hated cuz he never lost and haters of his personality), so many mexican people see and understand the guy hasn't even beat a great fighter in an impressive manner...the guys that love canelo are the mexican americans that think it's their duty to defend anything that is wrapped and presented with the mexican colors and all the Phssy whooped guys that are forced to buy it cuz their girlfriend/wife will throw a fit if they don't watch the guy they fantasize about when they're in bed or in the shower
as much as cotto is a legend he's fighting at 155 and so is that other red head farce
neither is willing to fight Golovkin at the 160 weight
as another poster mentioned cotto lost to trout, canelo had a close fight with trout
canelo looked like an amateur against lara, got a gift decision
canelo got schooled and spanked by mayweather
cotto got brutally beat by mayweather
neither have ever fought at a full 160 nor do they want to yet one is gonna walk away as the 'lineal' middleweight champ
etc. etc. i don't like to write essays on here, my apologies

People making a big deal over promoters exaggerating what they think the fight will do. They are just trying to make it a bigger event so people don't want to get left out and tune in. Oscar also said Mayweather/Mosley would do 3 million buys. We all knew that was some bs.
I expect it to do just under 1 million but wouldn't be shocked if it did less than that. Hard to gauge the interest for this one outside of the hardcore fans.

4 million?? USA boxing fans are still upset over #MayPac this is not getting that.. if they do 950K to 1millon is good

Y'all sound so ****ing salty lmao

Why would you want this PPV to fail? I hope it's not because of the 156 people who bought the GGG fight is it?
