Mentally it breaks down like this.

Fury is mentally strong because he is too thick to think about anything in real detail.

Klitschko is mentally strong because he is intelligent enough to understand the detail and takes confidence from his knowledge.

Both take confidence in different ways.

We often judge the fights with a power of hindsight, forgetting the actual context. To that end first Klichko fight with Sam Peter is often overlooked. More so the mere fact that he took this fight so soon after his KO losses. Peter was seen as indestructable juggernaut. Not very skilled but solid like a rock in the chin department and insanely powerful. Comparisons with Ibeabuchi were thrown around. It took a lot of courage and confidence to take that fight. Or maybe just courage. His confidence grew after he survived this fight.

Fury's disrespect to Klitschko is on the same level as Haye's was. Fury's getting ko'd I can't wait for that to happen and hopefully he retires. Klitschko got decked by a cruiserwieight in Cunningham he won't survive a true heavyweights power of Klitschko. Now a days there are so many boxers who think that saying controversial things and acting like a complete muppett is the only way to promote fight how sad modern day boxers really are - please retire Fury good riddance I say - its a pity you have the name Tyson you aren't worthy to even clean Mike Tyson's boots you waste of space.
