I wonder sometimes what kind of a sense of humor many boxing fans have. I luved Monty Python, W.C. Fields, Carlin, Mitch Hedberg, Blazing Saddles, all kinds of comedic stuff, from an early age. I was a class clown in school from the very beginning, always absurd, and I integrate that into nearly all I do. I get the impression Fury is basically the same way. Absurdity is hilarious IMO, nothing wrong with it. If you can't laugh, really laugh your az zoff, you aren't living. Plus the guy knows a lot about the sport. He's just having fun with it. Good for him.

Well said. Impossible to objectively dislike him as a fighter, he was born to fight, and born to entertain. People complain about flaws here and there but who doesn't have flaws as a person and/or fighter? And everyone has a weak resume at some point, hardly glaring reasons to hate or bash a fighter who otherwise is a must watch guy.

It seems to be such a challenge for so many "fans" to just enjoy the sport and support fighters, they would rather hate and insult the fighters they should applaud and support.

Some people were saying Fury was beginning to get nervous.

The man's a traveller ffs. He will never get nervous as was proven by these videos.

Indeed, the fact is most people, especially outside of the UK are naturally completely uneducated and oblivious to Tyson Fury's gypsy/traveller culture and background.

Whether he can fight or not is one thing. But there won't be an ounce of fear in him when it comes to having a fight.

            Truth.

Tyson's entire family are all fighting men, it's all he knows. He's been in a gym since he was a child. Travellers are born and bred to fight, it's deeply engrained into their culture.

Watch any IFL interviews with Fury and it's obvious that he knows the sport inside and out. No way in a million years he will have an ounce of fear. He knows what Wlad is about, he's studied him for years.

              What a load of rubbish.

Are you related to Fury, or something?

Mentally it breaks down like this.

Fury is mentally strong because he is too thick to think about anything in real detail.

Klitschko is mentally strong because he is intelligent enough to understand the detail and takes confidence from his knowledge.

Both take confidence in different ways.

Fury's confidence comes from a deep knowledge of the sport coupled with an innate understanding of fighter psychology. He knows how Wlad can be beaten and knows that he has the skills necessary to accomplish the feat.

Wlad's confidence comes from being at the top of the tree for so long, plus experience in dealing with many different forms of opponent over his long and illustrious career. He also seems to think Fury is an oaf and a clown, and has repeatedly likened him to David Haye, a fighter who shares very little in common with Fury barring his nationality.

Neither fighter is weak minded, but if anyone's in for a rude awakening it's Wlad himself. I don't think he quite understands the level of threat that Fury is going to bring.

Very true, he is far from weak minded.

He's also a lot tougher than most boxing fans realize.

Fury looks like a strong and competitive opponent but his best hope is that Wlad gets old very quickly.
