Floyd is just preparing his comeback for the new arena, and Cortez is on his paycheck, already tries to downplay GGG so Floyd can fight Canelo/Cotto winner instead.
A guy who who weighs in 165 30 days prior to a middleweight bout could make 154 with enough preparation. Alot of people would like to see Floyd getting knocked all over the ring. GGG would literally knock the IV liquids and steroids out of Floyd.Comment

Idk if GGG can or can't make 154 or 155 for any fight, but people seem to forget or not realized that GGG fought at 165 for his last several years before turning pro. He's not fought below 158 his whole pro career iirc. I think people are making a big assumption thinking he can make 154 or 155 & be in top fighting form.Comment

Cortez is right. Golovkin can't get down to 154, otherwise he'd be willing to accept the huge Canelo payday at 155.
No one turns down monster purses like that. Especially when they're only getting 97k buys on PPV.Comment
