This should be Lomachenko's career path

Lomachenko has a lot of big fights in front of him.. Here's how it should go down

Donaire for fw belt in early 2016

Rigo for fw belt, "double gold medalist" fight in the spring

Salido/rocky Martinez at 130 for a belt over the summer/early fall

Gamboa at 130,,, 2 major Amateur studs, similar to the rigo fight during the winter

If any of those fights deserve a rematch, maybe that in early 2017

Then Walters, hopefully in a unification at 130, summer of 2017

Them move to lightweight for Felix Verdejo in a 135 title fight in late 2017

    That's 4 fights in 2016 and 3 in 2017...

          Sounds good.

Donaire and Salido should be easy to make. Rigo shouldn't be too hard to make either, but Rigo is aging as we speak. They need to get the ball rolling with Lomachenko, this guy is a superstar waiting to happen. He just needs opponents lined up for him.

Yea thats not coming close to happening. Loma is fighting twice a year. I suspect 3 is possible, but he's not done it yet. With Loma's schedule + age + potential he might be a under 20 fight HOFer on day.

            So maybe,

            2016: Donaire & Rigo
            late 2016/early 2017: Gamboa
            2017: Walters & Verdejo

is more reasonable. A rematch pushes things out. Although even thats going to be far to epic of a schedule for Arum to agree to. I suspect we'll end up seeing half of these fights at best & I suspect we got fights with 2 or 3 more guys minimum who no one has heard of or who's name no one can pronounce over these next couple years.

i think in 2016 he should stay at 126 and try to take out donaire and rigondeaux, with another defence or two thrown in to keep him active (marriaga? vetyeka? hunter?), then in 2017 perhaps one more fight at 126 if valdez is ready or some other viable FW has appeared, then move up and take on the title holders at 130. ideally walters or gamboa will have picked up a strap in 2016 and then fought each other, so lomachenko can go directly to the winner and then whoever ends up on top of that pile can unify with uchiyama or whoever remains at that time. that's the dream, anyway...

                  I like it.
I do want to see him stay at 130 a little longer though. It's a great weight class and has several good fights. I want to see him fight Uchiyama and the winner of Miura and Vargas.
I really wanted him to unify 126, but unfortunately it won't happen. The only possible opponents at 126 are Donaire, Gradovich, Rigo and Valdez. He won't get credit for beating Valdez now, so they may want to wait for Valdez to win a belt first. I don't think anyone would accept Grado, unless it's a stay busy fight (as long as Loma doesn't sit out for 6 months after every fight, like he's been doing).
Loma needs to stay active. He should be back in March 2016, at the latest in April.

                  Schedule:
-Early 2016: Defend 126 belt against Donaire, Rigo or Gradovich (Vetyeka signed with Haymon, so not possible). Donaire is probably the best possibility.
-The rest of the year depends on how many fights they want to have him in. They should definitely shoot for at least 3.
                  - Afterwards, either stay at 126 for one more fight or move up and since he is the WBO Featherweight Champion, he can fight for the WBO Super Featherweight belt in his first fight at 130. Hopefully it's against Salido.
-End the year with a great fight: Gamboa, Walters or Uchiyama.
-A year like that is definitely Boxer of the Year worthy. They could start hyping him up even more if he were to win.
-2017: Fight the remainder (whoever he didn't fight already) between Gamboa, Walters, and Uchiyama.
-The Valdez fight will be possible by then

Hopefully Gamboa is active by that time. Everyone is dying to see the Walters fight, but I really want that fight to be a unification bout, to me it just feels like that type of bout. Hopefully Walters can get his hands on a Super Featherweight belt.

We can dream, but knowing Top Rank they probably won't have him in any good bouts. Thank You Arum.

Loma said he will be fighting 3 time next year so hopefully it's Rigo winter than Gamboa summer and a big fight against Walters to end the year this will probly put him in the top 3 p4p if he wins all of these fights you could probly stick the Solido fight somewhere in between.
