It's sad that people supported what we knew was a fiasco, an over the hill and old Pacquiao vs Mayweather, instead of buying a real fight like Cotto vs Canelo.

I don't care about numbers since they don't determine whether a fight is great or not but since casual fans don't know what a good fight is, they are just influenced by the media, this fight probably won't make 1 million buys

All I know for certain is that I'm buying the ppv. In hd.

I as a matter of course don't believe anything Oscar says.

However I believe this does a little over a million. I think Oscar and Tito did 1.5 mil. That fight had much more hype. Two undefeated greats. Both at their prime. Mex vs pr. Two attractive guys(women loved them both especially oscars gay azz). And the fight was wanted for years ala Floyd v paq

Cotto v Canelo has above. Canelo is barely entering prime and cotto is just leaving it. Both are defeated. Fight has only been wanted for a year of two. And both are ugly sons of biatches in comparison. Only thing they have in common is pr vs mex.

I'm predicting 800,000 buys with one caveat, if they don't provide ring card girls without bottoms to their outfits they may miss this by 400,000....

Cotto Vs. Canelo is the same situation as Floyd/Pacquiao and Cotto is in Pacquiao's position. Cotto has mileage on him. Been beat up. A smaller fighter on his way out of the sport, facing a much bigger guy. Canelo will come in as a Light-Heavyweight. This is NOT a prime vs. prime match-up. And Cotto is not a Middleweight.

This fight won't sell 1.5 million PPVs if they fight twice and combine the totals..

It amazes me that the fans on this site who believe that this fight will sell 1.5 million PPVs are the same fans that said Cotto was too over the hill for Mayweather and Alvarez was too green. So, what you are basically saying is that Grandpa vs Kermit the Frog is one of the greatest fights ever made and will sell more than De La Hoya/Trinidad, Mayweather/Mosley and Mayweather/Cotto.

Don't bet your lunch money on it or you will be gnawing on your arm by the end of the school day.

Neither you or anyone else who bought Mayweather/Pacquaio the fight thought it was going to be a fiasco. You thought it would be Pacquaio's coronation and Mayweather's comeuppance fight. When Floyd flipped the script and you discovered Mayweather was a great fighter and Pacquaio didn't match his hype, then and only then did it turn into a fiasco.

                    It won't even hit 1 million. I'm thinking it'll do about 700-800k

Extremely optimistic. I once was in a previous thread, but reality has set in.
