Comments Thread For: Canelo Wants Mayweather, Won't Chase After Him

Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (45-1-1, 32KOs) is less than two weeks away before he challenges WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

This will be Canelo's biggest fight since the 2013 twelve round decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs).

Canelo didn't say he wanted a rematch. He simply said he would be cool with a rematch should it ever happen after being asked about the possibility for a rematch.

To me, it sounds like he really doesn't want anything to do with Mayweather again. He was dominated so thoroughly he knows not much would change in a rematch.

The irony is that him and Cotto would allow and won't mind Mayweather to weigh as high as 160 but won't allow GGG to do the same because Floyd is the natural smaller and weaker opponent. It all sounds like hypocrisy to me.

I know, never once does he ask for a rematch. He like anyone else in Boxing....would like a crack at beating Mayweather. In this case, it would be a second crack and other boxers before him have had that opportunity. No news here....

Do you have any video footage of Canelo crying. Or a picture? I'd sure like to see it.
