I notice that the only name Lomachenko fails to mention is the best of them all: Walters. Not so long ago, when asked about Walters, his people said the man was too big, which is absurd because he came make featherweight just as easily as Lomachenko, who, in any event, is toying with the idea of moving up to super-featherweight. It suggests that either Lomachenko or his people are scared of Walters....

True their shook...and by that logic lomo too big for rigo...still a great fighter though...just can't beat Walters the same way Triple G can't beat Ward...we gotta keep the belts away from real competitive threats...

I don't know that thats even possible today with all the network & promoter politics going on or with Arum's risk aversion he prefers in young fighters career trajectory. I think Arum would rather talk about Loma vs Walters or Rigo for another year than actually making those fights

Of the guys who could likely get HBO fights made:

Nicky Walters, 26-0
Lee Selby, 22-1 (assuming this could be doable)
Yuri Gamboa, 24-1 (assuming he can make 130 & Loma is ready to move up)
Guillermo Rigondeaux, 15-0 (assuming Rigo would come up to 126 or a 124 catchweight could be made)


I'd go with Gamboa>Rigo>Walters>Selby, but I am a admitted Cuban amateur fanboy so I mighta pushed Walters down too far.
