It suggests that either Lomachenko or his people are scared of Walters....
If Walters was still making 126lbs that fight would be happening right now. But Walters is one of these guys who at a young age was able to cut alot of weight and be the bigger man in the ring. He outgrew the division, Lomo hasn't.

Truth be told, if Lomo were to move up to 130lbs for a fight, Uchiyama and Miura might be tougher foes than Walters or Gamboa.

Rigo would be a fun fight, but I think Lomo is just too big for him. Donaire would get diced apart.

Dude u aren't making sense. Loma just saud he's moving up very soon. If he can't get the fight with rigondeaux, which isn't gonna come off due to no fault of his own tbh, he needs to fight Walters. Period. Easiest fight to make and it's the best fight for him. I like Uchiyama and Miura but the fight in Japan. Those fights can be made but they are much harder to make. It's Walters at 130 imo.

Walters might have problems making 130. He has always been big for the weight and a growth spurt could be massive, he would be my pick. The Japanese need more exposure on American TV, but they've been getting beat by the judges here.

He said he'd move up if he can't get a fight at 126. He said for fans to vote who they'd like to see next. Personally I'd like to seem him clear out 126 then move up. Walters can win some belts at 130 first, unless he was just getting by at 126 due to his size advantage. Walters only big wins were Donaire and a shot Darchinyan. Even now he's lined up for a bs fight.

And Miura is the co-main vs F.Vargas on Cotto/Canelo. The winner of that would be a better candidate than Walters.

Ok so who is there to fight worth a damn at 126? He's not clearing out the division, not gonna happen. Arum won't work with Haymon. And it's crazy how Walters needs wins at 130 when his resume is arguably better than Lomachenko's. It's really hard to argue there us a better fight than Walters at 130. It's basically right there. Walters wants it, arum wanted it. Its on team Loma. If they'll fight anyone ppl vote for it will be Walters.

Walters can't even make 126. If in Loma's shoes, would you actually take it?

Walters just another guy that puts on 20+ lbs after weigh in. He would get props for beating him sure..

But for legacy and p4p purposes, Rigo is the guy he should fight. That would catapult him into the p4p conversation
