I tend to agree with him. Bradley did look good, and seemed to be listening to instructions for the most part.
But he was supposed to look good against Rios. No offense to Rios, but he is limited..and looked totally unmotivated.

Credit to Bradley, he did what he had to do, but it's hard to gauge his partnership with Atlas from this fight. The next few fights will tell us more.

Lyle Fitzsimmons must have failed the fireman fitness test or something. I dont know why else he would be so jealous. Lyle, you can be a fireman too if you really want to.

Atlas is a peabrain famous because he seems the part (facial scar, NY accent, shady past, check check check). He just states the obvious and has a knack for drama/motivation. He doesn't really have much of a resume as a trainer.

- Mike Tyson, who was really trained by Cus D'amato before attention whore Teddy crashed the party

- Michael Moorer, who was really trained by Emanuel Steward before attention whore Teddy crashed the party

- Alexander Povetkin, who he bailed on at the last minute because he was busy with Friday Night Fights

- Timothy Bradley, another fighter trained by someone else, Teddy flips out about being a fireman when the fight is already won and Teddy gets himself noticed again

In my opinion Bradley's win was great for a number of reasons...For one he showed mental focus, which he always loses,and make his fights harder than they need to be. He's also viewd as a feather fisted boxer/slapper so to be the first to stop the iron chinned,brick-headed warrior that Rios is suppossed to be..I don't thinik Rios is elite at all, but for the first time in a while, I'm anxious to see Tim against the top tier guys....

The most overblown win ever, it's almost as bad as the folks crowing about Garcia beating Morales. Yeah it's a scalp but what version of that scalp? We knew Rios years ago couldn't deal with a fighter not engaging him at his strengths..Jab..jab..hook beats Rios 10/10. Tim looked good doing it but c'mon...it's RIOS!

Agreed 100%%% I saw the same Tim Bradly he stayed in the pocket way to much like he always had. The only difference I noticed was he committed to the body alot. He was able to do so because Rios was not punching. Rios did not want to be in that ring at all he did it for one last pay check.

he showed up like a professional. cant same the same for Rios and its wise he retired. as a fan you just want a guy to train hard and act like a pro. i know this sport doesnt get people excited due to the matchups but im not gonna be overly praising someone for doing what theyre supposed to be doing and picking up a paycheck.

It really bugs me when people can't see improvements in form and technique and tactics just because the opponent isn't elite.

People keep focusing on the rah rah motivational stuff but that's not the important thing that Atlas brought to Tim.

It's in the technical department where Teddy helped him the most and you could see it in the way he was stepping around Rios and painting him with shots to both the head and body. I even saw him try Mike Tyson's side step/right hook to the body/right uppercut to the head combination. The timing on it was off but it's only been one training camp.

I expect him to get sharper the more time he trains with Atlas. That's if Teddy's psychological ploys don't start to wear thin....that's the one area where he can really become annoying and overbearing. If I was him I'd ditch that and just stick to working on technique.
