... the OP was about "if he has to go 160"...
... But your quote is about: "If I was able to make 160 when I was fighting, I would have fought him."...
... this is only a retrospective "if conditional" statement -- i.e. it has no actual point in it as there is no actual factual value in such a statement.

This fight is completely unfair and should not be entertained at all. But I will give an answer (which is kind of contradicting).

Ultimately, Golovkin wins but not because of his aggression overcoming Floyd's defense (which has declined slightly in recent years, understandably). Golovkin wins because hell, the guy is naturally much bigger than Mayweather.

We have to remember that Floyd won his first world title at 130, when he was dropping guys. He has moved up 5 weight classes, hasn't even ever made 154 lbs. At 147 he has enough sting to keep guys off him, Golovkin would just walk straight through his punches? Completely unfair. Floyd is so dominant, whether you like him or not, that we cannot find anyone in his weight class who can beat him, or anyone in the weight class below, or anyone in the weight class above. We actually have to look at two divisions upwards to find a guy who can beat him? Seriously? What is the point of having weight divisions ( although some of them arguably pointless)?

Golovkin is just too big and strong for Floyd. It is like Canelo facing Pacquiao, even worse perhaps, but that matchup has never been considered. This fight is only talked about because people are so desperate to see 49-1. Although he has been careful with his career, he is just too good for this generation. Accept it and move on to other fighters.

P.S. Floyd has faced aggression throughout his entire career and has always adjusted. That isn't the deciding factor, size and strength is.

... Wait: it has a point, but within context...

Now Floyd Jr. says: "If I was able to make 160 when I was fighting, I would have fought him."

... Last time Floyd Sr. mentioned GGG, he said that Golovkin would have to come down at 147 if he really wants to fight Jr.

... Therefore it results that both Jr. and Sr. don't take into account a possible fight at 154...

GGG should be the favorite....If Floyd finds a way to win, it would be one of the biggest upsets in years.

They are 2 weight divisions apart....Floyd is almost 40 and GGG is a good fighter but enjoying a lot of hype.

If you believe Floyd has any desire to come out of retirement to fight a guy 2 divisions removed from where Floyd's last fight took place & has less then 200k PPV buys to his name I got some amazing beach front property to sell you in Antarctica.
