It's comical that Ward thought he'd get precedence over Canelo, esp with 50/50 demand lol. Businessman indeed, just not very good at it. But as long as someone will pay him 2m for a walkover, he's good.

It's fine, we get a real fight between Ward and Kovalev instead.
Nobody is committing to 50/50 wanting B sider like Ward having Canelo/Cotto in the pipeline.

You may or may not get that fight, but not for more than a year. And we're already off to a bad start, actually disgraceful. Ward is already crying it's the haters forcing him to move up

But I thought Ward "wanted tuneups"....so why couldn't GGG fight Canelo in that time then fight Ward later in 2016? No negotiation, no counter proposal. Just "maybe in 2017".

In other words, "leave us alone we don't want to fight you."

So you counter offer and ask for 60/40 since you're risking the weight.and Canelo is no guarantee. Let's wait a year before calling that a good business move.

when ward was the a-side ggg was willing to fight him on his terms but ward wasn't

when ggg was the a-side ward wasn't willing to fight on ggg's terms

when froch was the a-side ggg was willing to fight on froch's terms

common denominator=ward needs special treatment in order to fight. same thing happened in the super six where he wouldn't fight unless he had every fight in his home country while froch fought in 4 countries.

Because if GGG beats up Canelo on PPV, Ward would be lucky to get 25% lol. It's like Winky Wright telling Floyd way back, lets commit on 50/50 after you're done with DLH

Roc Nations contract wanted to tie Golovkin up, and on Ward's schedule who the hell knows how that will go. Example, look at Ward-Brand, at the earliest Golovkin is looking at mid 2016. Long time for a guy like Golovkin to go without fighting. If Golovkin asked for more fights, 3 for example, he could have that done in a year, Ward could take 3 years. The tie up, plus the 50/50, and at 168 was not gonna work.

Ward should campaign at 168, getting the ball rolling, that's how it should be done, then see where things stand, no tie up.

There's no negotiating with Ward, he makes the offers, you agree or no fight, it's the story of his career, yet here we are, thinking he can be haggled with. I think at this point they also had there eyes set on the golden boys nvm Ward's ******ed demands.

Or you see how it plays out since it's a hugely bigger fight than injury prone Ward, and there's a clear mandate

Must be funny trying to defend this fraudster because you of hate for a successful foreign fighter.

Guy is already complaining that he is pressured into moving up, even though he cant make 168 anymore. What a blatant embarrassment for the sport.
