It's one as a fan I would love to see , I liked the way R. and Smith took a fight they could have avoided.
I do agree they both could have took a separate route..Liverpool though is quite thick knit community and not sure if those fighters could have been built up separately thack , them with training at the same amatuer gym as well so before one could go onto bigger things the other one had to be eliminated , I think smith can all the way to win the title

Didn't last long enough to prove much but Smith went out there to be emphatic and did just that. Positive, vicious and clinical. Put it on Rocky and kept it on. Smith previously showed against Rebrasse, a real hard egg, that he could stand up mentally when in with a guy who wouldn't be discouraged and he dropped Rebrasse late on to seal a points win that was similarly wide but more impressive than Groves had managed in his fight with the same Frenchman. Smith is looking a rounded fighter now. With so many belt holders out there Callum is near the point where a title shot might be in the offing. His height and reach and also that rare ability for a tall guy to rip hard downstairs would see Smith pose a problem for most at 168 and he was also in career best shape here. Really looks the part physically. Probably wouldn't get made for a variety of reasons but I'd love to see Callum Smith in there with Chavez Jr.

He should fight Groves next then Jack after. Groves is a step up but just under world class a good gauge IMO.

Some folks in here need to watch/rewatch the Rebrasse fight and remember that Smith is not the finished article.

Fielding ended up being the perfect opponent because he got hurt early and from then on was in survival mode. Callum is great at finishong guys like that, we already seen it many times

I'd like to see Callum take on Gilberto Rameriz and even Jessie Hart. Both would be fun fights.

He looked impressive, but to be honest he was expected to win. Callum is a big smw and with decent power, and it showed.
