Roc Nation has no clue what they are doing. First they put Ward on BET and then they tried to squeeze him into a PPV he should never be on in the first place. This will end up being a total lost year for Ward. I thought when he signed with Roc Nation that meant he was back. Instead he's had long layoffs because Roc Nation can't get him no fights and the one time he did fight nobody saw it on BET. SMH. As for Cotto he is basically promoting himself Roc Nation ain't doing none of the heavy lifting. Roc Nation looking very amateurish right now.

      It's bad news for everyone.
Don't kid yourself. You are in the minority. People buying tickets and buying the PPV for Canelo vs Cotto. This is nothing but a blip on the radar as far as PPV sales. As for entertainment the other undercard fights will produce better competitive fights and more action then this massive mismatch that Ward was angrily trying to defend to the media.

Can't really blame RN, if Ward really wanted to fight he'd understand his situation and take short money to knock off 3 tuneup fights this year w/o financially killing his promoters to do it.

We'll have to wait and see how this shakes out. I'm thinking he's just getting moved to a regular HBO date so they can build him up better.

Well obviously Cotto-Canelo is the fight everyone wants to see. But having Ward on the undercard would certainly be helpful. Even if it is against an overmatched opponent.

I have no interest in buying the PPV just for one fight. The Miura fight doesn't interest me.

But maybe I am in the minority.

I can't remember EXACTLY who said that...but I know I cringed when I heard it....I'm just gonna sit back and wait for the details to emerge instead of assuming at this point
For sure... But they like Rigo instead, right?

Ward is not a significant enough draw or name to boost the PPV especially when it's a blatant mismatch. If he was in with a real opponent maybe. But in a pure mismatch showcase hell no. The pathetic BET TV ratings proved that.

I would surely watch Ward -- but not fighting Brand or Smith...

That's really bad for Ward. Wonder what happened.
