I don't think he'd want to sit out for 2-3 years then come back and fight the monster that would win that tournament in his 40's.

I wouldn't have a problem with this if it got all of those guys to fight each other, but if they just wanted to make random fights between those guys without the tournament format, I'd LOVE that as well.
