For WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder - the No. 1 ranked mandatory challenger is Alexander Povetkin of Russia, who also holds the WBC Silver title, and is scheduled to fight Mariusz Wach tonight in Kazan, Russia.

A representative for Povetkin came over to the WBC's ongoing convention in China and told the assembly today that Povetkin will not be ready for his mandatory title challenge in January, when it’s due.

And somehow it will be Wider's fault that Povetkin won't be ready in January.

Wilder forced Povetkin to take a stay busy fight. That poor poor guy.

Povetkin is fighting the 6'8 Wach to prepare for Wilder.

Or maybe you was living under a rock when WBC said negotiations for a wilder-pove fight wouldn't take place until October 24th, povetkin was already on record before being made mando he was taking a fight home in Russia

Wilder needs to do the honourable thing here. I.E- choose a top 10 rated contender & give him more then 4 weeks to prepare!

It is Wilders fault for forcing Povetkin to take a stay busy fight. The guy is a disgrace to the sport.
