    @ Wilder "forcing" Povetkin.

The bill that's on tonight was already planned.

This is the second time Povetkin has delayed the fight. After negotiations were set for October he asked the WNC for a tune-up. Instead of scheduling it early October he scheduled it in November. He knew the fight was supposed to be held on January. Now he's saying he won't be ready until April. Wilder ducking doe

On one hand, it's refreshing to see an alphabet champion defend his title 3 times in the span of a year - that's virtually unheard of in the sport right now. As a fan of Wilder's, it's nice to get to see him in action so frequently.

However, it's quite obvious that Wilder and his team are procrastinating the mandatory title defense against Povetkin in an attempt to gain more experience.

Povetkin fought ONE ROUND (actually less) in May. He could have had his tune-up in September and the mandatory negotiation period would have begun on schedule in October, he'd be fighting Wilder in January.

Instead, he opted to stall. Sasha be duckin'.

To me it seems like both sides are procrastinating.

If they could, they'd push toward the end of next year. But I'm not sure they have that option. Do or die for Wilder.

How are Wilder and team procrastinating when it's Povetkin's team that keeps pushing the fight back? Remember, Povetkin asked for a tune-up after the WBC ordered negotiations begin in October for a January fight. Then they scheduled the fight in November knowing they wouldn't be ready for January. Now they're saying April or May. Is Wilder supposed to sit half a year waiting on them?
