Comments Thread For: Joshua: It'll Be Tough For Whyte To Take Me Past Three

Anthony Joshua insists he will approach his British and Commonwealth heavyweight title showdown with long-time rival Dillian Whyte like any other bout.

The Olympic champion lost to Whyte (16-0-KO13) as an amateur and has since been embroiled in a lengthy war of words with the Brixton man ahead of the fight on December 12 - but seemed calm at Tuesday's press conference despite Whyte threatening a knockout victory and placing his hand on Joshua's heart during the face-off.

Whyte looked very relaxed and confident at the presser.

I know I'm going to get very excited over this match - after the big one between Fury and Wlad is settled.

Something about Joshua peeved me in the conference and in the interviews, there's something quite fake about him that's starting to come out. I mean, I know he's been hyped A LOT by Sky and 'Fast Eddie' but there was something kind of likeable about him which has sort of melted away a bit now that he's in the spotlight a bit more. I think the limelight can be compared to a magnifying glass & with this much attention, a persona will crack. Or maybe I'm just the kind of guy who hates winners??!

This might sound strange but I'd like him so much more if he just dropped the nice-guy act, I don't buy it - I'd be interested to know if anybody does buy his shtick? He's obviously got a mean-streak, and he knows he's good. I'd prefer it if he was out there threatening people and being a bad-ass. It's like he watched Captain America at the movies and then based his personality on that. Boring.

Although Whyte ****s all over him for character, absolutely NO CONTEST here - Whyte is getting knocked out.

Whyte is there to be hit; his defence really is poor. AJ will make easy work of him.

Yes, rile Whyte up and hope he comes to you aggressively so you can throw the counter. With Whyte opening up it will double the power of your punches as he steams into you, that's how you ko'ed Cornish isn't it. There is no way you can hit that hard.
Bit like Garcia ko'ing khan after he said Pakistanis cant fight.

Whyte's game plan would be to get some serious body work done in early 4-5, so it pays off in later rounds. He talked about Joshua's stamina and vulnerability to the body as well, so that was a bit of a give away. However, I didn't like how Dillan was getting caught in his last fight.

I think Joshua takes Whyte out in less than 4 rounds.

It'd be good to see Jousha take a few flush punches, we dont really know what he is made of

Whyte is a big fella but Jousha is huge, i dont see him getting close enough to land anything of note

                    Jousha takes this early...round 1 or 2
