I see he's put a caveat in there, "as soon as the business side is done, that fight will be made."
In other words, he's given himself an out. He can simply say that the numbers did not work for him, so all bets are off.

I really hope this fight happens, but I will believe it when I see it.
It's a mismatch btw, Kov gets him out of there inside 6

My bad, you're right Ward. I'm sure sliding to a decision over Alexander Brand @ 175 puts you on track to be remembered as one of the best to lace up a pair of gloves and for fighting the best of the best.

which is exactly what he did when he signed to the super six and beat the crap out of all your blue eyed heroes

ward and kovalev are very clearly being groomed for a late 2016 ppv. it's p#ssies who deny this.

yeah i'm a little concerned as to how they make the numbers work. their combined minimum purse guarantees could be higher than the pay-per-view intake. i expect it to sell more than golovkin-lemieux, but their purses will likely be much larger

ward is goign to get low and inside of kovalev's offense. there's no way in hell he get stopped in six rounds. you're duluded if you think the fight will be that easy.

vegas is going to have this fight close to even. kovalev will be a slight favorite, and deservingly. he's been more active and is a bigger man.

this is the best fight in boxing. get ready to pay $60 for it at he end of 2016. that's been the plan for a while now.

Why would he want to avoid Kovalev you ask?

Because Kovalev is going to crush him like the sad diva he is. Easy easy money this, Kov inside 6 rounds.

I am guessing that most of you have not seen Alexander Brand fight. He is no bum, but he is not top tier. I suggest you guys go back and find the Alexander Brand/Badou Jack fight from 2012. One of my favorite fights from that year. He is an awkward fighter that can give Ward problems.

Watching Ward beat Kovalev is gonna be as gratifying as seeing thr Matthysse ship sink 10x. Of course when he does, Kovalev will instantly become the bum that GGG used to beat up in sparring.
