It was an offhand comment from Loeffler to Dan Rafael. But lets pretend for a second that it actually WAS a legitimate offer. So what? So they put out an initial negotiating point. Is it now necessary to concede every point in your first offer? And did Ward respond? Nope. Ward responded much later, after GGG had already inked the Lemieux fight, with an offer that would have required GGG to give up his WBC mando position to the Canelo-Cotto winner in exchange for a 50-50 offer to fight "sometime next year". It was a suckers play, and proved that Ward was never serious about a GGG fight.....

Edit: And just for the record, if GGG and Ward ever fight, I would want it at the full 168 so there are no excuses. But I certainly have no objection to them using weight to get a better money split, or venue, or whatever else they are negotiating.

It was also Abel Sanchez who initially said "168 for Andre" then to later change to "Gennady is the Aside, Ward should meet us at 164" (is all on video) and RocNation submitted a formal offer accepting the 164 Catchweight and the 50-50 split. GGG's team turned it down in less than 45 mins.

    ShameFULL

so in the world of Nielon, nobody is allowed to negotiate? They must give up every point to the other side in the very first offer?

Are you really that ******, or just consumed with GGG hate? I'll tell you, for a guy who doesnt seem to care for GGG very much, you sure seem to find your way into EVERY SINGLE GGG THREAD.

        Stalk much?

All this "statements" made by GGG, ABEL and the rest of his team were not "negotiations". They were just interview statements that CHANGED once they felt the pressure from the challenges of other fighters who are real threats to Triple gay. They were not "giving up every point", they were just blatant lies and contradictions. Hence, now is my hobbie to troll ALL GGG's thread UNTIL he proves himself with real opponents not the Monroe jrs of this world.

GGG is a good boy, I am just NOT a fan YET. Is all hype so far. Weak resume while refusing to make fights with the BIG names. Triple Gay has never made a an effort (and it seems he will not make any in the near future) to make the fights that would take him to the next level.

so on one hand you complain that they dont offer every concession to Ward, but on the other hand you acknowledge that there never were serious discussions, only "statements" from various team members on both sides?

Do you realize how utterly foolish that makes you look?

Oh for ****s sake. Now Canelo's team is just going to be like oh than 157? Canelo of you don't want to fight Golovkin never fight above 154 again. It looks like that was all bull when he left showtime breaking a verbal agreement because HBO offers the best fights. Seriously a hard fought fight where Canelo loses at 160 adds to his stock for me. Just go back to 154 and stay for a while. Then rematch him down the road. He's a young guy. Has a lot of career to go. Might as well step up rather then stepping up and jumping down. It is perceived as extremely weak and lacking of character

Do you realize how ignorant you sound by assuming that I am "complaining" and "acknowledging" something that is only imaginary to your very limited way of thinking ?

Saul is fighting a FOR SURE HOFamer... Ggg just fought some bum who I've never heard of! I fact his entire boxing resume looks like something out bumfights.com. Let's the pos hide behind belts. Fk Saul doesn't even speak English yet I don't hear hi "misquoted" like the 100+ retractions that ggg has stated... Saul/ cotto have at least 2 HUGE ppv fights coming up and then Floyd will probably want the winner... While u get to jack off to the 97 ppv fights against Andy lee!
