Yes you will. We realize you have to make a stand now, but eventually you'll have to accept whatever terms canelo or cotto offer, they are a bigger draw. First your team will accept only 160, whoever wins will not and you'll get the belt for free, then you'll fight the winner at whatever weight without exposing your belts.

Obviously a unification fight for most of the 160 pound belts involving a mandatory should be at the regular 160 pounds. Anyone saying otherwise is ******ed. Canelo shouldn't get a free pass for inventing his own damn weight class when he's clearly too big for 154. Either man up or drop the belts (assuming he beats Cotto).

If GGG did that he would have essentially surrendered his WBC mandatory position. It also would likely have led to him being stripped of the IBF title he won from Lemieux, as it is unlikely he would have been able to get the Johnson mando done in time, based on the timetable Ward set......

I think GGG has been consistent.
1) Unifying the MW division
2) Consider moving up
In the meantime, yep, fighters have different criteria for different prospective opponents. Including Ward, who offered to fight Floyd at 160 and then said he wasn't serious. Including Cotto, Canelo. And Pacquiao before them.
In today's world that's what you do.
GGG's team has been consistent in making excuses and contradicting themselfs ONCE they noticed that a lots fighters from 154-168 were calling Triple Gay out.
"Anyone from 154-168 can get it, the problem nobody dares to step in the ring with Gennady" - Abel
"154 only for Floyd" - Abel, GGG (After everyone started calling out GayGayGay)
"Andre Ward is an easy fight and should be at 168" - Abel
""The issue for me is that Andre, when he fought the Super Six, was like a diva...he got all the advantages...we don't need Andre Ward, he needs us...it's important to note that Gennady is the A fighter. Then Ward should meet us at 164 and if they don't make it, that's okay with me," - Abel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgh-lkgDpYg
I can go on but its self explanatory

Any INITIAL offer without those terms was clearly a duck.Last edited by OnePunch; 11-03-2015, 11:23 AM.

Ggg makes Bob Arum look like Honest Abe...

Canelo a came down to challenge and fight the best. Lara called him out and he fought him even knowing it would look bad fighting him.
GggDuck doesn't do sht but hide behind belts and wants to only fight the mandatories. Which was a HUGE knock on Roy jones jr. But he finally came around. This ggg dip sht will never come around. Have you guys seen some of the mandatories out there??? They fkn ranked dead ppl sometimes...
