He walks in the ring heavier, so why does he need one.
Against Ward, Ward has 15 pounds on GGG. Ward coming down.
Against Floyd, GGG has 15-20 pounds. GGG coming down.
Against Canelo, they are basically the same size. Why does Canelo need a CW?
That's why he is a coward. He just wants to drain GGG for no other reason to weaken him, not to even the odds.
Not to mention, 3 MW belts would be on the line at the CW.
No ****ing way Canelo should get 3 MW belts at no CW.

When you vacate to not fight your mandatory, it's a duck. Twist all you want.
Why does Lara deserve to talk his way into a GGG matchup when he lost the last fight he talked his way into. You have to me a moron to think GGG is scared of Lara.
Lara couldn't beat Canelo at 155, he would get murdered against GGG at 160. And GGG would get no credit for it.
GGG didn't duck Ward. Ward waited until GGG was busy and then wanted the fight.
Ward was ordered GGG.
GGG addressed Ward
""Hey, Ward, wake up! Why are you talking trash about other people? Speak for yourself. If you're trying to make a name for yourself by mentioning me to build up your own fight, then be a man about it and tell the truth. At our meeting with HBO they asked us whether we are ready to box. You know our answers - I said yes, you said no. You said something about your shoulder or promoter - I'm not interested in the reason, I only heard your "no." But you remember that HBO said then that they would need a long time to build-up the fight. Then what the **** are you talking about excuses?"
"If you do provocative attacks, do not even think that Loeffler [Gennady's K2 promoter] will buy into them. You haven't been interesting to anyone for a long time, so he will no longer engage in the promotion of your name. Go and build your own image. Although everyone already knows what you are, and because of this, they do not go to your fights."
"You shouldn't worry about who I'm going to box or have boxed. You, like the rest, were lucky with the "Super Six" tournament because you got your opponents by contract. And who are you fighting now? The fourth-fifth ranked fighters in England...If I say that I'm ready to box any middleweight and ready to rise to 168 for a big fight, then I am responsible for the words. And I have nothing left to discuss with you. As a man, you are dead to me."

And Ward is a SMW.
Ward has not fought at SMW since November of 2013.

If someone says GGG's name, and he doesn't immediately stop their plans to fight this person, he is ducking them.
But then they say if Canelo vacates to keep from fighting his mandatory, it's not a duck.
They know damn well what they are trying to do.

I would be surprised if really that would be the case.
I think GGG will accept a catchweight around 157 for that kind of money.
GGG is "too old" for a slow build up. He knows his body, but I think both of them would be okay with that weight.
I think Team GGG hopes Canelo will win the mega fight, because if Cotto exposes him, the fight is not so big anymore. And I think Cotto wont fight GGG, which I understand but sad about.

I understand that he wants to unify the belts at middleweight and I think Cotto should relinquish the belt (should he beat Canelo) or face Golovkin. But GGG really doesn't have much of a say in the negotiations against Cotto or Canelo since they are bigger draws than he is.

De La Hoya vs Hopkins was contested at a 157 lbs catch weight. Hopkins weighed in at 156, De la hoya weighed in at 155. All 4 world middleweight titles were at stake, 5 if you include Hopkin's lineal title (which Cotto currently holds.)
