Keep in mind 164 would technically be the super middleweight division. Super middleweight is anything above 160 to the limit of 168.
As long as he is not winning SMW straps at 164, that's fine.

But that was for Ward, who hadn't fought SMW since 2013.

GGG would come down for Floyd.

But it's too much too ask Ward to come down for GGG.

If he was picking up the belt, he should fight at that divisions weight.

You can't know that, the fight never got negotiated.

Team GGG had said not for belts.

If it were to get negotiated at 164, I would be against it.

Three things. They did a 158 CW.

And De La Hoya was actually the smaller fighter. Canelo is the same size as GGG.

Lastly, De La Hoya was challenging B-hop for his belts, not the other way around.

However, nit would be a shame if De La Hoya walked around as MW champion and never fought at 160.

How many of you would be OK with GGG picking up 3 SMW belts at 161

If GGG was attempting to unify the SMW division at 161, you guys would scream bloody murder.

So Golovkin won't go up to 168 pounds to fight Ward but will fight him at a catch weight. Then he says he will go down to 154 to fight Floyd. Now he says we won't fight Canelo at any catch weight. And people are calling Canelo a coward and fraud, please! Everybody plays the part.
