Not a 20% cut. The complaint alleges they took greater than 10% of his gross purse. Or 33.33% one of the two. It probably won't be in the contract because it's in violation.

How would he be pro pac or top rank? Some of you floyd os are really one track minded everything is a conspiracy.

So who should have more knowledge you a fan boy living at home, or one punch who actually works in the boxing wolrd?
lol I actually detested Pac after he fought David Diaz at 135 and then moved up without fighting Nate for all the belts he won from Juan Diaz. Nate would have been set for life had Pac took the fight......

Could they do it? Maybe. I just find it very unlikely.
Promoters lend money to fighters ALL the time.

I don't know how they go About it legally, but it's extremely common.

Shannon Briggs when he fought Vitali comes to mind. He fought under Cohens company located in NY, and for the beating he took from Vitali he made very little money, tried to sue Cohen.

Come to find out, Cohen had given him a lot of $ up front.

I never disputed that. Purse advances are VERY common. The other poster was trying to infer that Top Rank charges interest on purse advances, and THAT I find to be unlikely, given the can of worms it would open

so now any allegation is treated as fact, despite the complaint not providing a single example of Top Rank taking money they shouldnt have?? Not a single example??

Yeah i remeber you trying to get that undisputed fight done, nate said something, like after pac won the wbc he thought pac would unify with him, but hey you cant really blame pac, im sure if oscar de la hoya offered you and nate a shot you would say see ya pacquiao as well lol. But i wanted to see that fight so bad would have been nice to see an undisputed lightwieght champ.

Its crazy how deadlikeme a known floyd fan boy, accusses you of having no knowledge, making stuff up and being a pacquiao and top rank fan boy just because you refuted some stuff in this thread that didnt side with his biased view. Nate campbells longtime advisor a pac fanboy lol? I think i heard it all.

Its Rigo's own fault he is in the situation he is in. I have no sympathy for his issue. He had opportunities to make money and fight but he choose to go the route of nowhere. Sucks that you are such a talented fighter and you cant bank money off that.

His people were prolly always in his ear saying well if you were with this person or managed by that person you would be making big money all the while not fighting for the people who have you. Now you are where you are.

I wouldn't call it taking money they shouldn't have. Their lawyers aren't ******. They're making it up somewhere though.
