  • Good for cotto! Let ggg and his fans pound dirt. GggTards don't get it! The WBC would make way more getting % of the total purse from rematch between Alvarez and cotto then a % off gggs 97k ppv buys... I know but it's mandatory that the winner fight ggg. No it's not!!! GggTards don't realize how these CORRUPT organizations work. Heck even their own contract under immediate rematch say "there is sufficient public demand" check. "A direct rematch would be in best interest of division or boxing" check again. So sorry ggg fans but there is most likely going to be a rematch...

I think once he unifies he will go to 168, now that Ward isn't there.

      • Let's see WBC wants 3+% of 97k ppv buys or 3+% of 1.5 ppv buys... And then their stuck with a ggg/ Andy lee ppv fight. Lol

        • I genuinely like Cotto, Ward, Canelo and GGG.
Cotto, Ward and Canelo have better résumés (in that order) than GGG.

That being said, I cannot believe how many idiots there are on this site rooting against a good 'up-and-coming' fighter seeking to unify a division.

All these fans do is enable their heroes to move outside of the framework designed to ensure the best fight the best. Good job ****-for-brains. If you really thought your fighter could beat GGG you would be begging for the fight to happen. At least the Ward fans seem to believe in their man. They have no right to demand GGG fight Ward anymore than GGG could demand Mayweather at any catch weight.

          • No one Cares about Cotto/Canelo, these fake ass *****es

No way either of these *****es gets in ring with GGG.

Cotto hasn't figured out that he will be stripped of title, then so be it.

All this posturing by Canelo/Cotto is pointless.

Honestly, GGG murders both of them, likely in the same night if they'd let him.

Cotto is a fake ass *****.

He's lost to every great fighter he's faced.

Canelo beating the smaller Cotto wouldn't mean ****.

GGG besting small Cotto wouldn't mean ****.

Have never been impressed w/his resume at all. Definitely one of the more overrated names of the last couple decades. He makes for excitement and has a decent skill set. That's as far as it goes in all objectivity.

Though I will five him props for beating Alvarez. That would be a solid win.
If Cotto beats Canelo he best a weight drained MW. Although this one drains himself.

            ^^^^ This right here!!

GGG vs Lemiuex ticket prices ($50-500). Canadians and Nicaraguans filled AT LEAST half of MSG. GGG did not sell out MSG by himself, he had one of the best undercards in a long time and Bargain price tickets in order to SELL OUT MSG. Cotto has sold out MSG MULTIPLE TIMES BY HIMSELF.

Cotto vs Canelo ticket prices ($150-2000).

GGG financially for HBO, PPV and other possible opponents is still a failure.

            NUFF SAID!!
            Nothing to be salty about.

In December, the WBC MW belt will be in rightful hands.

That's all I want anyways. Canelo and Cotto are both ****ty fighters.

Just stop it. Cotto best a broken man.

Cotto has no business being in the MW division.

I am going to do a side by side comparison:

            #GGGfanBoyzMustHaveForgot

            Miguel Cotto:

            - Champion in 4 different weight classes (started at 140)
            - Has been a PPV fighter SINCE 2006 and established record breaking numbers since then.

            - Has fought the best: at 140- N'Dou, Sosa, Pinto, Torres, Corley. at 147- Malignagi, Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, Pacquiao. 154, Mayorga, Mayweather, Margarito 2, Trout, Rodriguez. MW, Martinez, Geale and now Saul Canelo Alvarez (One of the best resumes in boxing FOR ANY ACTIVE BOXER IF NOT THE BEST )

-Guaranteed Hall of Famer, 2 Fights left in his career. (Cotto's story is already written, He doesnt need GGG ONLY DUE TO HIS MANDATORY STATUS wich is a joke)
            !
How the **** is mandatory a joke.

Cotto holding the belt hostage is a joke.

Glad that is coming to an end one way or another.

            Cotto doesn't beat Canelo.

But if he does, he'll vacate the belt because he doesn't want to face the true MW champion.

All those PPV buys won't save him from getting smashed.

He's just too small to be competitive. We ALL know that.

Cotto has taken on every customer, moved down to accommodate, moved up to accommodate and make his name (something GGG won't do).

What doest GGG prove by beating Cotto?
he proves that nobody other than himself is worthy of being recognized as "middleweight champion" at this time..........

                • The WBC isn't striping the winner of cotto/Saul. Too much $$$$$$ to be made on a rematch and then the potential of a Floyd fight.

It appears as if you ate happy that boxings governing bodies are corrupt. Can you confirm that?

i don't think this is fair. we have to consider that cotto and canelo hgave not been middleweights. now that these guys are in the same division, we need to take weight into account. a win over a top 10 MW is a heck of a lot more meaningful than a win over a top 10 WW or JMW if you're talking about handicapping a fight at middleweight.

cotto's actual MW resume has martinez' dead body, who could easily have a loss to martin murray, and who golovkin destroyed. he's also got geale, who he drained into nothing. alvarez has JMWS, with no MWS to speak of.

golovkin has been fighting middleweights for the entirety of his career. he wouldn't even get sanctiojned to fight some of the guys cotto and canelo fought.
