More people know of Khan for a reason, he's had 10x as many on-the-radar fights. Like him or not.

Brook hasn't done **** despite being a year older than Khan.

There's your answer. Far more people know who Khan is because he wasn't coddled by his managers while aging all these years.

His public visibility is very high, even if he is a dork and his personality sucks.
khan hs'nt done nothing at welter weight and is coddled by his own mouth

Your career doesn't start over when you move up 7 lbs. Not to mention most of the guys he fought are welterweights now.

Marco antonio Barrera is the only big name if your talking like 'the biggest names in the sport' and he was two divisions out of his depth and 15 years too old and Garcia no and Prescott no both of who knocked Khan to little pieces who else' the biggest names in the sport'.....can't wait for you to answer this !
And by the way Brooks win over Porter is by far the most meaningful at welter and that's where we are !

I could possibly agree about Thurman.

However Brook and Porter have faced each other which is better opposition than anyone Khan has been in with at 147. And the fact he's shamelessly ducking Brook doesn't help his case.

Khan hasn't really done anything since being flattened by Garcia. He hasn't been in with a top fighter who has a bit of power because he knows it can be game over.

If Algieri had some power, he would have knocked Khan out, he stung Khan a few times and he's only a notch or two above Malignaggi in terms of power. That fight was a draw anyway. I like Algieri but no supposed top fighter should be going life and death with him, especially when an old Pacquiao bounced him off the floor about 9 times or something.
Brook and Porter facing each other is just one fight, which in no way overrides the last 4 fights Khan has had against former world champions. Porter got draw with Julio Diaz in their first fight, many thought Diaz won. At the current time I'd say Porter isn't significantly above a prime Diaz level, although Diaz is no longer in his prime today.

Khan overtrained for the Algieri fight because while he was on the shortlist for a Floyd fight he was in training. That fight didn't materialize, Khan needed to find a new opponent and a new fight date as soon as possible but with the extended delay he ended up overtraining.

Part of the problem is that he isn't always situated close to, or even in the same country as, his main trainer Hunter 24/7. He travels back and forth between the UK and USA which can cause these scenarios. Hunter has said several times that he'd prefer Khan to be based in the USA all year round for this reason.

I'll be shocked if this fight happens

but if it does, its a good thing for boxing as it shows arum and haymon can work together one way or another...

No, it does not. I can name one place I've ever seen it written that your resume "starts over" when you change weight divisions. Here. The NSB subforum on boxingscene.

                  I like neither fighter particularly.

But Khan is an established top fighter and has faced the whos-who.

Brook is a 30 year old prospect pulling a Wilder at 147.

He may very well some day prove to be better than Khan, but right now he's nothing.

Khan vs Pac for WBC belt?

                    That's a good fight.

You have to give Khan credit! He might have the IQ of an Ape with Down Syndrome but he will fight most!
